| Abstract | A response to a proposal by the SA government to industrialize sections of Torrens Island. Argues that the application is inconsistent with the development plan as: 1. Minister and local member Kevin Foley has acknowledged that the division will be for industrial purposes which conflicts with the three primary objectives of the zoning for the area: a. operation of a quarantine station, 2. No evidence of buffering to the adjacent national park exists, 3.The area is susceptible to sea level rise and any works to combat sea level rise will be at considerable cost to the public |
