Port Adelaide Redevelopment

The Newport Quays consortium, led by Urban Construct are currently redeveloping the western bank of the Port River. Early proposals were for a large number of multi storey buildings. After criticism from the Port Adelaide Enfield Council, local community groups and residents, the proposal was withdrawn.

A new proposal was due to be lodged with the Development Assessment Commission by 31 January 2008, but finally saw the light of day some four months later in June 2008.
